You will need several things. You need lots of sugar, water, glass cups, wooden sticks, a pot and food coloring.

You will also need an adult to help you. You need to use the stove to make the candy. It can be dangerous.

Let’s get started. Put the pot on the stove and add one cup of water in the pot.

Turn on the stove. When the water boils, add the sugar. As you add the sugar, don’t forget to stir them well.

Add more sugar when the sugar melts. When you add all of the sugar, keep stirring. All the sugar needs to dissolve.

When all of the sugar has dissolved, turn off the stove. Then let the mixture cool for about 15 minutes.

While you wait, get your wooden sticks. Dip the stick in water and then roll it on some sugar. This step allows the stick to make the sugar crystals.

Set out your glass cups and put in a few drops of food coloring. Carefully pour the sugar solution into the glasses. And then put the stick in the glass and wait.

You need to be patient before you eat the rock candies. It takes 5-7 days for the candy to become big. Enjoy!
